Theft protection
I just moved to a small town up the road, and now leave the key on the seat under a glove or something.
I make my living working in peoples homes and it never crosses my mind to take something.
I want everything that is mine and nothing of yours.

Yes it can still be taken thou but dammit they will really have to work at it..
Not always but sometimes put the transfer case into neural when, I see someone eyeing it that I haven't seen before.. This is a must for me now that I don't have my big camper on it ant more..my 2cents

Nothing is totally fool proof though. A local guy was known for chaining his Corvette to a light pole where he works. He always tied it to the same pole. One day he walked out to find it on the other side of the lot chained to another pole. Same chain, same lock. A note on the windshield read " If we want it we'll get it". Never found out who did it and he still has the car.

I agree with the coil wire trick + a hood lock. Cheap and easy.
You could also hook the horn up to the #1 spark plug wire... Won't stop 'em but they'll be easy to track down.
