1986 350 Non-Turbo 6.9 starts, runs 3 seconds then dies. After long cranking starts and runs all day. Fuel filter new and remains full. Loosened injection line/no fuel. Could Inj pump be losing prime if so why and is there a repair w/o expensive pump replacement? Thank You
"FH" Thanks for the help, on my 6.9. On the rare occasion, it will start and stay running but mostly not. Is there some way of "Priming" the inj pump manually with out breaking a line ie: drill/tap a small hole in pump chamber, non-pressure side and add fuel allowing air to escape through loosed inj line? Also, is there a diagram on line of pumps internals? Thanks Again For The Help As I've Got To Get Her Started TodayCT
