clutch fork
hey, i am looking for a clutch fork, to fit my manual tranny bellhousing for my 390, it conects to the bellhousing with a peice of metal that looks like a "T" i tried the parts store, and all they had is the one that clips in to the loop of metal, not the kind i have, any help is appreciated

I think the one they have has a flat spring that slids in the pivot bracket? You could remove the spring, the lever won't go anywhere when every thing is in place. Or you could drill out the rivets on the bracket and replace it with the other type. Replace the rivets with 3/8 allen head bolts.

The fork is held at the release bearing by the two spring clips. The outer end of the fork has the spring pushing the fork against the pivot. It can't really go anywhere. 
Watch the rivets holding the pivot on, I have seen three cases of them streching and finally breaking off. The spring at the pivot is mainly an anti-rattle spring.
