Plow question
Evening, everyone.
I was wondering if anyone knows if the lift arm on a plow should hover a little ahead of the lift chain mount, directly over it, or slightly behind it.
I'm trying to install a plow on my b-series using a mounting carton meant for another pickup and am not sure how fore or aft on the frame I should secure it. Moving it closer to the bumper causes the angle of the chain (when secured to the lift arm and viewed from the side) to look like this \ , and moving it more away from it makes it look more like this- /.
I want to get the proper angle so that the pump doesn't work any harder than it has to..
