New Guy, Two Questions

Hey everyone, I'm not new to this site but I've never posted with the Ontario chapter yet. I'm up near Sudbury, and hopefully I'll have my '68 out this coming weekend.
My first question is; Does anyone have experience ordering parts from LMC, and getting them shipped to Ontario? I was thinking of getting some stuff from them, but I thought I'd check here first to make sure I'm not setting myself up for a disaster.
My second question is; When is the Arthur show this year? I drove down with my dad back in 2000 in my Merc, and won best modified Merc 67-68. The drive was really hard on our backs though, and we vowed we wouldn't drive the Merc back. I've got new suspension, and a new seat in her now, and have forgotten enough about the pain to maybe go again. Last time, dad and I stayed at a bed and breakfast just down the street from the show grounds, it was really nice. Where are some good/close places to stay down there now? Sorry about being long winded.

Welcome to the Ontario Chapter,
Nice looking truck, you don't see to many merc's around.

Arthur is on Aug 15-16 a few folks from here are attending....

I have not ordered from LMC, I have used NPD and found them to be ok. NPD would ship via post where as some others only use UPS. Beware of UPS they charge outrageous brokerage fees. I have also used Dennis Carpenter but they are also very expensive on shipping but they tell you upfront based on the dollar value of the purchase. Dennis Carpenter only ships insured and the quality is amazing.

I bought some stuff from LMC a few years ago, they shipped USPS (post). Next time I will probably get parts somewhere else, LMC is offshore sourced parts, lower quality.

Thanks for the info. I'll check my schedule and maybe be in Arthur this August.

I buy my parts from Bronco Graveyard but....

They won't have your Merc parts, so my vote would be NPD National Parts Depot, I've ordered from them as well and found them to be excellent on the parts and customer service. And yes insist on US Postal delivery much cheaper than UPS.

Rick.

I know I'm SOL for any Merc specific parts, but thankfully I have all my Merc badging, and the rest of the truck is Ford. I'd like to get the wheel well trims, door handles, mirrors, and the sill plates at the bottoms of the doors. I know LMC has all this stuff, so that's why I was considering them. I ordered a Dennis Carpenter catalogue the other day, so I'll wait for that to come in before I decide who to order from.

Never SOL, just takes longer and costs more...

I take it you have tried Official Site for The Mercury Man , he tend to have the older stuff but always worth a try.
You can download a dennis carpenter catalog, but I wouldn't recommend it if your on dial up. A lot of the other vendors use Dennis Carpenter stuff. Best quality for sure, but then you don't always need the best stuff.
