drive train clunk
Hi friends,my 1996 F150 supercab makes a loud clunk when the clutch isnt let out perfectly smooth.I have the M5od tranny and the truck has done this since Ive owned it 11,000 miles ago.The truck now has 62,000 miles and Id like to solve this issue.Sometimes it will clunk just after the clutch is engaged while taching to 3 or 4, but never while stopping.Ive checked the universals and all seems ok.The truck is really clean underneath and ive read here about the tranny crossbar might need tightning but I cant tighten anymore than it already is.There seems to be a little play at the end of the transfer case where the drive shaft comes out but dosent seem too excessive.I want to drive the truck like a truck, not like a toy.Any ideas?
