Seat Comparison

This thread is a continuation of the KR vs. Lariat thread originating from Nov of last year:
I am not out to create a firestorm. Yeah, I am comparing apples to oranges here. The Edge (Fords little crossover) seats sit low in the vehicle and are quite a bit more "gushy" and softer than the F350 seats. I am missing the disc material in my lower spine so sitting in them is six of one, half dozen of the other.
The seats grip better while providing better support. The heating function has two settings and really "cook" when set on high. The support reduces my back's need to constantly adjust for variations in seat posturing, changes in road conditions, and ride comfort. Of course, the suspension helps considerable. Their downfall is I sit lower to the floor and so my legs don't "hang"over the front like a dining room chair. This is where the F350 seats come in.

Yes, my F350 Lariat does have the heated seats (and they are fully adjustable, just not as comfortable as a la-z-boy), but they seem to work intermittently and because of your remark, 5.4L to Freedom, I will have them checked out for heater compliance. Thanks 5.4L to Freedom, good catch.

Bottom line is: am I stuck with what I got, can I upgrade without swapping seats, or what is available in aftermarket replacements?

Thanks,
Spencer
