Where do you get yours local or do you order from some where. Thats about what I was paying for 90% KOH thats why 117.00 was such a shocker.

I'll have to try the janitorial supply I never thought of that.
I called I think all the chemical distributors in my area and $1.98 a pound was the best I could find for KOH without buying twenty bags or more.
NAOH beads were a lot cheaper and I was told that its because its imported!!!!

What do they categorize its use as. eg... floor stripper, toilet cleaner???

Don't know what they categorized it as, I just as if they carried KOH and what size bags it came in.

Guys check with restaurant suppliers in your area as most of them us it for their fryers. I got in with a partner who's company sells paper products, cleaning supplier and almost anything related to restaurant business. We get our boxes of magnasol through his co. Saves us a ton not only on cost but shipping. Just another place for you guys to try. Good luck.

Hey Don just wanted to say hello, been busy as a one armed paper hanger. Will give u a call in the near future. Hope your back gets better. Rest of u guys listen about pumping magnasol with pumps this experience talking. If it is not a diaphram pump it just grinds it up and u will never get it all out.

Look on ebay for a 1/2" air operated diaphram pump u can vary the flow rate with the air pressure shure beat the hell out of gravity feeding. Good luck on hunt for pump.

Jeep,
I'm looking for KOH not magnesol.
My supplier is getting way out of bounds on his price.
I called all the chemical suppliers in the Pgh area and the best I could find was 1.98 a pound. 110.00 a 55lb bag.

Last 2 Bags I bought 50# was $2.00/pound have not bought any recently as we got 200# in November. Get it from the same supplier we get our methanol from. Company Superior Solvents, I don't know if they are nation wide or just here in the Midwest.
