Max Towing Capacity

What is the max tow capacity or where can i find it for a 2004 scab fx4 4x4 5.4l. Looking to buy a camper for work and wanna find out the limits

It will depend on your axle ratio, bed length, cab, and engine size. There is a table in your owners manual.

If your truck has 3.73 with the other options you show above then 9200lbs is max from what Ford shows. I have pulled very close to this number and the truck did great. Taking off isnt the best but driving down the road it does a great job. I was pulling a 20ft heavy duty trailer with a bobcat on it that about 6800lbs and the trailer probably 2000lbs. Rule of thumb on trailers I have been told is go with the GVW of the trailer and as long as it doesnt go over the MAX towing of your truck you should be good with that trailer.
