should bolt up.was having carb issues last night.you wouldn't want mine.the high speed airbleed metering rods are sticking full open.i'm switching to ether a holley or edelbrock in a little while.

It should bolt to the manifold with no problems, it's little things like the linkage and choke you might have to play with. The gas pedal in a 71 is connected to the carb via a rod, while the 82 most likely has a cable. You can very easily go to a parts store though and pick up a ball stud to bolt to the carb linkage that would allow your cable to attach to it. The choke on the old carb may be thermal while the 82 had an electric choke. You may be able to swap the choke housings between the carbs or find one at a parts store.
