Fix one thing break another

Had my 08 in for the neutral shifting issue along with hvac problems. All seem to be working much better EXCEPT now every time I turn on the truck I hear the cd player shuffling on and off and there are no cd's in the radio now!!!!!!!! Have pushed the load/unload, selected every disc even tho there are none in the unit and it keeps shuffling looking for one! UGH no good deed goes unpunished!

you could always upgrade your radio. I just got a clarion 7 inch flip out on ebay for 310 bucks I can't wait to put it in.

442w30, try tuning to a radio station (take the system out of cd mode) then turn the radio off before turning the key off. See what happens.

Thanks oldguy. I tried everything short of putting it out of it's misery with one of my politically incorrect firearms. It does it all on it's own even while I am in satellite mode. Dealer had to change out sending unit in my 36 gallon fuel tank today and ordered a new radio. Dealer and service writer have been very good once we came to a "understanding" but the weekly trip to have something else replaced under warrenty is getting old. If everybody was not trying to hit my w-30 every time I drove it, it may prove more dependable. 39 years and the only thing that does not work is the factory 8 track!!!!! and I would really have a hard time throwing my trash cans in the back seat. Had this car when I was in college. If that back seat could talk!!!!!

Glad to hear you have a good service writer and dealership. I think I'll just let my transmission hunt once in a while. "If in ain't broke, don't fix it".

I don't think I'll ever buy an in-dash changer if I can ever help it. There is just too much happening in a such small space to be reliable over time given their usual manufacturing techniques.

They're like a Swiss watch except built in China under heavy cost constraints.
