As far as I know it doesn't. It mainly allows the injector to stay open just a tad longer letting a little more fuel in.
The Super Duty trucks have a 120v IDM... so I don't see a 140v doing anything bad to the injectors.

Use that, flows quickly and at low temp. .20 or .22 comes to mind but you will know it when you see it.
Use a 15 Watt soldering iron.

Just don't get too big of a size.

Quik question:
I have 2 IDM's one is 100V and one is 120V If I do this mod on the 100v it will be 140v(so I understand). If I do it to the 120v IDM will it still be 140v? I have 2 75ohm resistors (Thanks Rodney!).
My hands are dirty and I am ready to do this, I hope to hear from someone soon.
Thanks

OK I am using the 100V IDM. This one is different! It says it is made in Brazil on the data plate. The guts are all diskombabulated compared to the pics in page 1. I did find the 6042 do-hickey s I supose I will pull it and try the other resistor. There is hardley any room at all!
Anyone wanna add anything?

I don't have much experience with silver solder, but it is more expensive.

Silver is also an excellent conductor. so it makes for good properties. It's bonding strength might not be that of 60/40 Lead/Tin, which is what I generally use.
Remember, the worse thing you can do when soldering is use TOOO much solder.
it should not be bubbled over the component. Just enough to attach it firmly, should create a...
I'll make some pictures. Stay tuned.
