Steering colume install help needed
Our '55 F-100 project came with a Volare steering box (5/8 dia shaft) and a GM colume (3/4 dia shaft with splines having a little smaller O.D.) Need to hook the two together. I have the mopar joint that goes on the gearbox spline. I would rather buy the good stuff than try to weld something up. Seems there should be some type rag joint in there as the cab could flex different than the frame. The colume is fairly long (maybe GM van) so theres no need for a longer joint than necissary. Any sugjestions - and - where do I get the good stuff ? All help appreciated.
