HI.
I have tried a couple searches, but struck out. Has there been a thread discussing possible bolt-in m/c swaps for an early F-1?
Seems to me, I have read something about a mustang or galaxie m/c being an easy improvement...
Thanks.
I feel your pain. The new Search Engine is useless. I know there have been discussions on master cylinder swaps - most go with IFS threads or Disc Brake threads. You might try those. Also when you search, put "Master Cylinder" in Quotations Marks when you enter it. It helps sometimes.
if it's anything like my '55 f100 you need the bracket from cpp (or others like mid fifty) and a mustang master. 1966 or 67 and older for drum/drum.
Thru 1966, ALL cars and trucks use a single master cylinder.
1967 and later: ALL cars and trucks use a dual master cylinder and a brake differential proportioning valve.
There are two different master cylinders for 1965/66 Mustangs. One was used with manual disc brakes, the other was used with manual or power drum brakes.
Power disc brakes were not available on 1965/66 Mustangs.
