Yeah! Got DP tunes late last fall and when I was pulling the 5th wheel this winter (snowboarding) had some surging going on. Ordered the WW and it was backordered. It finally came in about a week ago and I had time today to install it!
Took about close to 5 hours, I was in no hurry and took my time. Test drove in and... LOVE THE WHISTLE! Told the wifey about it and she just rolled her eyes. Get to REALLY test it out soon cuz we are taking the 5th wheel out camping this upcoming weekend! Ok ok ok... I was just glad everything went smoothly and thought I would share! Now it's time!
Nice! I think I'm going to have to bite the bullet and try to source one of these. I didn't want to, but I'm having some pretty good stall when towing heavy in the mountains and I'm at part throttle in the 13-15# range. It seems this is a pretty good cure for that. Where's a good place to pick one up?
GIve Clay @ Riff Raff Diesel a call. I have one here that I have to put on. My stacks whistle with the stock wheel. It is going to be much louder with the WW.
SWEET! Can't wait till Friday to try towing up some good hills! Man, I am kinda sore from crawling around under the hood this morning/afternoon. And I am not even old?!? Well, I am off to bed. Later!
The only reason to remove the turbo from the truck for a WW install is to repair an oil leak on the pedastal.
Otherwise it's the easiest, IMO to do it on the truck.
