gear swap
I have a 75 429ci that is bored .80 over and would like to know what that brings the total cubic inch to. and i would also like to swap my 4.09 gear ratio up front to 3.73 or 3.50 gearing and have been told that the front casing needs to be swapped out can anyone Clarify this the axle is a dana 44

without looking up anything your cubes should be about 440. If you change the gears up front you have to change the rear also. You don't need to swap out anything except the ring gear and pinion. If you don't know how to set the carrier up(backlash, etc.) you will need help or have someone who has done it do it for you. If it isn't right you will tear it up in a hurrry
