Clearcote

I have an older pickup with about a 2 yearold paintjob on and the clearcote lifted up in about a 1 foot wide swath all the way across the top of the cab.

It is like you drew a line about a foot from the back of the cab all the way across.
The temps was down to about 50 below when this happened would this cause it.

My question is can I just lightly sand the affected area and apply a new clearcote or will the whole top needed repainted.

if the clear is bad in one spot the rest of the top will probably fail sooner or later. if it was mine i would do the whole top.

Will I have to do the paint too or just the clearcote.

What causes it to lift like that.

your going to have to do the paint also. without any body work it should be a easy job.
