difference between engine blocks
I'm wondering what the difference between a lightning 5.4 and the 5.4 thats in my 2002 ford f-150? I also know the bottom end is all built up in the lightning but with what? I guess my big question is whats the difference between the 2 engines? parts and strength.

The only difference in the Lightning 5.4 is a forged crank and forged lower compression pistons.
Your 02 might even have a forged crank(my stock 03 5.4 did) They both have the crappy rods in them. and when you start to make a lot of power,they break and come through the block.
