hey guys been toying with the idea of a new motor...... just wondering what the easiest way of swaping one out was 00 5.4 ex cab 4x4

Just like any other.
Remove the hood,radiator,fan and shroud. Unbolt the tranny and the motor and pull it out.
On theses trucks it helps if you remove the intake-manifold also before you pull it. It gives you more room to work.

cool...didn't want to sound like a stupid Q but i have read a lot where guys will take the cab off or try to take it out the bottom of the truck and so on. i just don;t have the facilities to do this if taking the cab off was the only way
