brakes skid

hey guys when i push on the brakes the rear brakes skid on the pavement brakes are good all around

What are you driving?
Discs in the back? Drums?

Leaks that contaminate the pads or shoes can cause this condition.

no leaks if i slam on the brakes the truck will turn

So is the problem that the truck pulls one direction or another or is the problem that the rear brakes are locking up? Maybe both?

You mentioned that the brakes are good. Is that because you cahnged them and now have this problem?
Sounds as though the adjusters are backwards, or the assembly is correct.
Maybe they are too tight, and the adjustment is way off......
