Service Manuals
Can someone recommend a site that has repair manuals for a 1998 Ford Expedition EB 4x4 5.4 v8.
I'd love to find some free factory service manuals like I have found for my Toyota, but I realize that this practice has been starting to be harder and harder to find. I have already gone to eAutoRepair (Mitchell Manuals) and paid for access to the manuals there, which are useless. To remove a engine was like 6 steps in 7 sentences [ I'm looking for help not just the bare minimal Step 1, remove all bolts.
]. I was a sucker and paid twice now for "online factory manual" and received a PDF of my Owners Manual that you get in the dashboard, again, not a owners manual, I need help tearing specific assemblies apart, etc, etc.
If it all, I would like to get vi electronic distibution, cd dvd or download. And something I can then print after I read it.

I'll look tonight when I get home to see if mine cover your year. I asked a couple years ago about finding a set of factory manuals for my 99 and was given a set by a very nice gentleman on here. It is the two book factory set, close to 1000 pages each and should be what you're looking for. Just not sure if they're year specific or not.

I bought the factor service manuals for a 2006 on ebay for about $50. I think its going to be worth it. The pictures and diagrams are pretty good but a little disorganized. A friend bought the CD version and its completly useless.

well I forgot to look at mine over the weekend, but I just wrote my self a note to look tonight when I get home.
After looking at the ones on ebay that alloro posted it's definitely a different year. Those have kind of a greenish cover, where mine are a dark blue. But I'm guessing that most of the information is going to be the same in them.

Well I took a look at mine last night and they are 1999 specific, but like I said I imagine most of that's going to be the same as the 1998 stuff. If you want them send me a PM with your address.

It's not 1 downloadable manual, every section is separate. About as good as it gets for free.

LOL i guess i should have also said i am looking for the same thing but for a 2001 Expedition. But i saw your post and thought what the heck give it a try might have some info i could use. Thank you, standing by for help.
