exhaust end question

hi, just got my 4" exhaust on, it came with a little 4" chrome tip that points to the ground, i really don't like that, what cut will make my truck sound better, (both coming straight, not pointing at ground) straight cut, or angle cut? I have asked around my area, and get no real answer, some say one is lounder, one quieter, some say one sounds like ****. The angle cut i'm talking about is basically like the stock exhaust end.

This is how my tip is mounted. Sounds pretty good. I don't think the angle makes it louder nor quieter IMHO.

I cannot imagine the cut would make any difference. Maybe just where it is pointed could make a difference on how much you hear it but that would be about all.
