I know a guy who started to do it to a 78.
I would check the 73-79 section if you don't get any answers here. There is not much differance between what needs to be done.
I do know the 78 had the outer fenders cut in half (top to bottom).
He didn't quite finish it due to trying to find a way to keep the radiator stationary while the grill tipped forward and still have enough strength to not shake loose or somthing like that.
He was going for the tilt and also making it so the hood would still open normal. Haven't talked to him about it in a few years and he's moved onto mustangs.
