Front Mounted Receiver Hitch

I am thinking to install a front mounted receiver hitch to be able to mount my surf fishing rod holder. I was wondering if anyone had did it? How hard is it to do? Does any one have any pictures of a truck with one?
Thanks,
Matt

Reese, Drawtite, same diff. I don't know who gobbled up who, but they're all under the same corporate umbrella now.

Years ago, I had a front receiver hitch installed on an Expolrer I had, by a welding shop. They did a great job and the price was reasonable. You might want to check that avanue out.

Cabela's has one that you can get with a winch if you want to spend the extra $$$$. Just the front receiver is $219. I have been thinking about getting one also.

Front hitch installation video

I have an '08 KR and have installed one. I use it for everything from stabbing the travel trailer on the side of the house to carrying my generator on a hitch basket to carrying bikes on a bile rack. It works great and is very easy to install.

Here is an installation video for an F150 from etrailer.com:
