Ebpv

I have this nice little problem, when its a cold morning, and I mean below 32 or close to 32 when I drive my truck to school it will go and go then it will like hit a RPM and then it sounds like the wind blowing or something, and if I let my foot off the gas and hit the gas it will go away (I mean hit as in put foot back on) so is this my EBPV? I know you cna unplug them but if you do you have to wire them open.. Not what I want to know is if you unplug it while its open will it stay open and whats the likely hood of it being closed when I unplug it?

Yep, that's your EBPV. Unplug it, you don't need to wire anything open. It will set a soft code (code stored in the computer but no SES light) unless you put a resistor in the plug. When you unplug it the solenoid defaults to open and will not close.

Yup just unplug it. It should just stay in the open postiton unless you have serious problems but it sounds like you just need to unplug it. It can be wired to a switch real easy. I had mine that way for a long time. Makes a nice engine brake when towing.
