Instrument Panel Question

I just replaced my alt. and voltage regulator. I got a bad alt. and got a new all are in and working properly. My question is my voltage gauge (factory) reads right in the middle. When I turn the A/C on it goes down a little and the factory temp and oil pressure gauge rise. Does anyone know what causes this and how to fix it. I know all the power goes through the headlight switch, could the switch be going bad. I don't have any problem with the headlights that I know of. Thanks for the help.

I know a bad ground in the dash would cause the water temp to go up when you turn on the headlights.
The alt guage in fords are notorius for staying in the middle.
