Ok so just got a new to me 75 F100 a couple of weeks ago. None of the lights worked well headlights did. So I started working on the lights today replaced the bulbs and two light sockets driver side turn signal and driver side taillight. Ok that got the turn signals working and the taillights. But still no brake lights so tested and replaced brake light switch and heres my problem drivers side works but still know passenger side wires look good any ideas.
Check the ground points, and check the connector points. Sometimes they look good, but they're corroded inside and don't conduct. Check the bulb contact points. Corrosion is a mother on these old beasts. Make sure to use dialectic grease and any connection or socket.
Ok I checked the green wire to passenger side flashes on test light with turn signal on nothing with just brake light on. Checked green wire where it come out of collum same thing does this mean I need new turn signal switch.
i doubt it the turn signal is working. sounds like you checked it correctly. not sure how it is wired together. sounds like an open in the brake circuit before the turn signal circuit. maybe somebody else can help.
If your turn signals at the rear are working I think it would have to be a turn signal switch in the column. the turn signal wire to the front and rear of truck use the same wire when it leaves the column.
