What kind of hydraulic hose? I've used transmission oil cooler hose before and it rotted out after a year. You should use hose specifically rated for fuel. Some fuel line is approved for carbureted engines, but not fuel injection because of the higher pressure. Fuel hose is cheap and easy enough to get that it's not worth the risk. That's just my opinion, you might want to wait for some more.
