2wd leveling Kit - Installed
#46
The amount you have to take off is very little look at #3 on this thread: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...kit-is-on.html and you will see how very little and where Frank had to remove material. I bought the adjustable cams and didnt end up using them, the alignment shop had the non adjustable type and we just used them.

I'm Like you. I had to pull my steering knuckles out twice and do some grinding on them both times. First time the alignement shop couldn't get it in alignment even with dual camber bushings installed. second time around it aligned up great. I have the aluminum spacers.

This leveling kit just really does not level or even the space from tire to fender either... Front compared to the rear.
I just wish more could be done with the twin I beam 2wd
Susp.
Center i beam Drop brackets seems would be the best answer if they would work.
Are you guys springs sitting straight up or angled out?

Ok, this kit will not work on my early 99. I adjusted a 2 1/2" camber bushing all the way down and my wheel still needs to come back in atleast 1"+!
this kit will not work without 2" drop brackets which nobody makes...
Maybe because they won't fit and still get it bolted down?...
The I beam or spindle must be different on the early 99 vs. Late 99.5 and up.
If anyone knows if they are different, but compatible, please let me know.
As far as grinding, I maybe had to grind about a 1/8" and the 2 1/2" bushing still did not bottom out.
Wow! I'm not so happy and I really want this to work!
