I am definitely in the market for a pair of warn hubs but I am checking out the ones I have and would like to know how to check if there disconnected from the drive shaft. I have them set to Auto and find there hard to turn by hand, is this normal.
Is there anything I need to know when purchasing a set of warn hubs, I noticed there are a few different types. Can anyone suggest what I need for a 2000 X w/V10. Many thanks...
The the transfercase in 2wd and the hubs in auto and unlocked, the front drive train should spin freely. Basically you should be able to turn the driveshaft and the axles will spin without the tires spinning.
If it's impossible, the jack up the front end and try it again. If the tires spin, then the hubs aren't unlocking.
Thanks, then truck with wheels on the ground, all in auto and 2wd, the drive train should spin freely when (climbing under the truck) turning it by hand! ??
