Just installed a 2" leveling kit on a 92' f150 4x4. Was getting ware on out side of tires before, but now tires look even more out of spec. Tires are out at top \----/. We will be installing new upper and lower ball joints and have already installed new radius bushings and shocks. Can this be fixed by a alingment or do we need something else? Thanks
I just did the same thing to mine. With the same results I guess thats just the way geometry works. My alighnment shop said I can get some offset bushings for the middle pins on the axle and they can alighn it from there.
My truck is going to the front end shop tomorrow for the exact same thing.I'll let you guys know the results. I was told there are after market parts available if all else fails. It's a 92 f 150 4x4.
Well I dont know if it will help but my guy said they make axle piviot drop brackets as well as radius drop brackets. This would help return settings closer to stock.
Better idea that I wish I would have done and probly still will do with mine. Take your level pucks back and put in some airbags the coil airbag set that I just looked at was 80 bucks and you have all the adjustment you could want you dont screw with geometry too much and you have a better load berring capacity on the front especaly if you want to run a winch (which i do)
external compressor you just mount some shrader valves on your bumper and use a tire chuck if your worried about bleed off you can buy a 12v compressor and plumb it in for whatever they sell them at walmart for cheep (theoreticly havent tried it yet)
