Man, Last fall I had 2 leaf's break on the right rear springs, literally fall on the highway at 65. Took it to my mechanic and $400.00 later I have an entirely new set of springs. Now on the way up to our mountain house in the Pocono's the same thing happens to the other side... Just waiting for the front to fall out. So I decided this time to order the springs myself and put them on... I am thinking I may just do the fronts before they snap.
Has anyone else had their springs snap on them?
Also I am thingking about installing Air ride helper springs from Firestone. Does anyone have these or something like them?
Where's Spring City? Any road salt conditions? I haven't had any springs break, but have had them wear out.
Love my airbags. Wish I would have put them on when the truck was new. My truck hasn't even touched the overload springs since I put the air bags in. Low pressure when running empty, air em up when hauling a heavy load, and the truck never squats so the rear end is low anymore.
