92 ranger starting problem
hey guys, my 92 ranger(v6, 3.0L) has this weird starting problem, it only seems to happin when its sum what damp and cold out through the winter months, i will try and start it and it will just turn over, i will pump the gas and nothing, i can hear the fuel pump coming on, and i will come out like an hour later and 9 times outa 10 it will fire right up, anybody got any idea's?, and it has a new cap and roter, plugs, and starter

Plugwires may be allowing all the spark to leak to ground before getting to the plugs. Try running the engine with the hood open when it is dark, and look for arcing from the plug wires to the engine. If it looks like a light show, get some new plug wires.

You said it really only happens when it is damp out. My guess is a bad distributor cap. They crack, allow moisture in, and the motor won't start. Only happens when it's damp/raining out. Been there done that.
