Hey everyone!
This time I wonder how to fix my calipers. At speeds below 50 km/h I have an awful sound. Replaced the rubber pins that hold the calipers in place. This worked for a month. I think I have been reading about welding a little on the caliper to make the hole tighter. Is this how you are dealing with this problem?
You got a 4x4, right? The issue you're describing is something 4x4 trucks are known for, and yes the correct way of fixing it (other than getting a new caliper bracket) would be welding up some material on the calipers then grinding it down a bit so the calipers fit just perfectly in the sliders. I'd recommend the welding is done to the bottom end of the calipers, as during braking the most force is carried by the top end of the calipers.
