vibration when accelerating
Hi all, I have been hanging around for some time, Live in Silverdale WA.
I own a F150 2004 5.4 triton. I pull a travel trailer that weighs less than 5k,
get 16,17 mpg not pulling and 7,8 pulling. does that sound about right?
Only problem noticed so far is a vibration when accelerating through 20 to 25 mph, took it to Ford but no help there. I now have 53k on it and love the ride and quiet interior.
Any thoughts on what is happening?

gg
only noticed when accelerating, does feel kind of like rumble strip but not loud like when running on strip. More noticible when towing or hauling a heavy load.

Do you have limited slip? If so your packing's are shot. I had this a few months back started out weak then got strong. In a parking lot turn circles while accelerating if it does it then, then you know its the limited slip packing. I have the TSB they had on this in another forum. I will post it when i find it.
