Backup lights

2001 F250 fuse 28 blows whenever I put it in reverse.

Most likely cause.

Dead short. Look for pinched or exposed wires around the rear bumper area. There may be a T connector that goes to each light that you can unplug to isolate each side.

I had trailer plug receptacle short out and starting smoking up the garage. Never popped the fuse. Melted the whole plug.. All the wire connections were caroded.
