Well, I have had my new to me f350 for 5 weeks now. While doing some deeper digging this morning in the engine compartment I found a folding browning pocket knife. It was open with a rusted 2 inch blade. It was under the passenger side battery area. I am glad that I found it before it rattled down into the belt or did some damage somewhere. Anyway 5 weeks now and no buyers remorse here! What interesting things have you guys found in your vehicles?
Funny, the guy was probably wondering where his knife went. I never found anything in this truck but plenty of interesting things in the back seats of a car when you pull them.
I found the King Ranch floormats tucked in behind the back seat a few days after I bought mine. I thought that was a good find! I also found when I went to install my gauges the manifold had already been drilled and tapped for the pyro with a plug in it- does that count?

Since it was already drilled out for the gauge, I am curious as to why there was no gauge mounted or had been removed. These aren't typically done at the factory are they?
i've never found anything to speak of...i have lost quite a few bits and pieces though..there are areas around a 6.0 that are nothing less than black holes..

Ha Ha, I think Ford does this on purpose. This way when we do bring in our trucks, they can find our missing items. That way they can get some money back on the warrenty work they do.
I found an 8 MM socket that I had lost in mine. I found it because it wedged between the harmonic balancer and a bolt head on the oil pump. It managed to break the oil pump cover and timing cover, and cost me 2 grand in repairs. I can't say that I was happy to find it that way.
I just got my new to me truck a few weeks ago but while going thru it this weekend I did find a store receipt with the past owners name. I was told by the dealer that he traded the truck in for a new F250. I searched the name and got his number. Called him and he verified the trade in and we chatted about the truck for awhile which gave me some piece of mind knowing he was not getting rid of it because the tranny or something was going out.

You're luckier than me then. I found the old owners address in the manual, so I wrote him a letter with a few questions and to tell him how much I love this truck, and how alot of people compliment me on it. No reply. I even included my e-mail address. If someone wrote to me about my old truck I'd be more than happy to talk to him/her about it. Oh well...
Well it wasn't in my truck, but I took my 1997 Wrangler to a dealer to have the driveline replaced (broke it wheeling). Two weeks later i am pulling out of a driveway and the driveline comes loose (not my home driveway). So there I am under the jeep trying to remove the other side of the driveline when I look up on my skid plate and there are all kinds of snap-on tools (sockets, wrenches, etc.). My guess is the D*****S tech forgot to go back and tighten the bolts and get his tools. My loss is his gain as I kept all of the tools and got them to fix the rest for free! At least I got something for my wasted time.
