highboy 460 swap

I'm planning on swapping a 460 from a 74 tbird into my 1977 f250 4x4. I found a 460 in a 73-79 ford van. Will the brackets and pulleys work? It has power steering,a/c, and alt, and thats what I want. Would it have a rear sump oil pan? Would the exhaust manifolds work better than the birds? Also the a/c compresser isn't square like mine its 8 sided and smaller, would it work with factory air?

Econoline engine mount brackets and the rubber insulators will not work in F100/350's whether it's 2WD or 4WD.

1975 was the first year for a 460 Econoline. 1969/74 Econolines are a different design, the largest engine available was the 302.

1975/77 Econolines have round headlamps, 1978/91's have rectangular headlamps.

The two 460 A/C idler pulleys are the same.

The vibration damper/flywheel might be the same, they might not be...if the Econoline is a 1979 or later.

There were two different 1979 460's. One engine used a weighted spacer, one did not. The block casting numbers will be different.

D1VE-6015-AB was used from 1971 thru 1978 and on some 1979's.

D9TE-6015-AB was used on some 1979's, and thru 1986.

The flywheel and vibration damper must match the specific casting numbers.

Waterpump pulley's, P/S pulley's, the outer pulleys on the crank might be the same, they might not be the same...it all depends on what year that 460 Econoline is.

The A/C compressor used in 1973/76 Birds (Lincoln Mark IV's, some LTD's) is a Frigid-Aire swash plate design, and is not compatible with the York compressors used in other vehicles.

The A/C may not be any good....if any of the hoses have been removed, if any parts have been removed where freon is a factor.

Once outside air gets into the compressor, condenser, dryer tank or expansion valve, the entire system has to be evacuated within several weeks...otherwise you can kiss these parts goodbye.

I was going to use the L&L mounts, all I want off the van is brackets and pulleys and maybe exhaust if it will work on the tbird 460 in the highboy
