knocking

Was driving home this morning when i heard this obnoxious knocking noise from the engine and immediately thought ah **** a bent valve or something.
looked into the engine bay and the tube to the air filter was off and i had no oil what so ever in the engine. Does this tube put oil back into the carb to be burned off in the exhaust or something. I completely did away with the tube and but a push in air breather. The knocking only comes when the engine gets warm so thats when things are getting hot so im guessing they arent getting lubed by the oil.

Any way new push in air breather, PCV, oil change and airbreather pics are below.

It's probably bearings. When metal gets hot, it expands. When that happens, bearing clearances get wider, and oil pressure drops. When a motor knocks once it warms up, it's on its last leg. You can try the Lucas oil additive to try and squeeze more miles out of it, but that stuff can cause as much harm as it helps because it can foam.

Take a screwdriver to the bottom end. If you hear knocking, your bottom end is gone.

I wouldn't put that snake Lucas oil in.

Use 20w50 motor oil. If that's not enough, use motor honey. Or replace/rebuild the engine.
