Ever since I got my truck back from the body shop, the wipers only work on the first setting and that's it. You can turn it to slow medium and high and works like its suppose to work. Does anyone know if there is a fuse that operates this or is my switch itself?
The wipers on that truck are controlled by the GEM. The GEM gets information from the multifunction (turn signal) switch. The GEM energizes relays in the engine compartment fuse box to make the wiper motor run and park. It also energizes a relay (same loacation) for the washer function.
You can test out your multifunction switch to see if it is signalling properly to the GEM. If it seems to work, the body shop may have "modified" something to change the GEM or cause the multifunction switch output not to get to the GEM.
