smokin
Couldn't find this in a search, so i hope someone can answer it for me. I have a 2001 f-150 with 4.6 auto. If i drive it hard or run for a few miles at a higher speed, it smokes when i start it the first time. Truck only has 61,500 miles on it and runs super. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Typically when an engine sits overnight(and has alot of miles on it) the residual oil in the head will leak down past the seals/guides into the combustion chamber, and sit. The next crank up will burn it with the fuel.
Also if it just does it after driving it hard, your oil control rings could be either stuck or worn. This also lets oil into the combustion chamber.
With that low of a mileage its kinda hard to believe either case, but it definately sounds like oil is getting into the cylinders from somewhere...
