Slight problem starting?

The other day when I was headed for work . I started down the road everything seemed fine until she shifted into second gear. She let out a high piched grinding sound. Once I let off the gas and eased back into it, it did not do it again. Later that day she made the same sound again, same situation as before. Could this be a transmission problem starting up ?? Will a fluid and filter change along with a new vacuum modulator help?

Thanks

Slight problem starting?

That sounds more like a clutch or fly-wheel problem to me!

Slight problem starting?

oops

I have 1973 F100 Custom LWB.
302 w/ headers and other HP products
C4 Tranny

Total Mileage about 161,000 miles.( Odom. reads 61,000 )
Not sure if it ever rolled over.

Not sure when last Tranny fluid and filter change was either.

Any help would be great if I left anything out let me know.

Thanks
