I have used it on an old 400 in my 79 F150. It works pretty good, depending on how much sludge is in the engine you might have to drop the pan to get it all out., but with 49,000 it shouldn't be that bad.
Welk tks for the come back I am considering putting 1/3 can of seafoam in it and let it work on cleaning the engine for a while and then change the oil,,, I know gunk has a lot of kerosine in it and I just cant bring myself to put a quart of it in my engine and let it run for a while as I know how bad kerosine delutes oil and if it delutes the thin film of oil between the crank and the rod bearings I might get some scoring on the crank surfices or worse spin a bearing thks agn
i use the gunk engine flush in every vehicle i own. the first time i tried it i had gotten my chevy truck with 176,000 miles on it. i changed the old oil and put a new fram filter on and filled up the oil with wal mart brand, added the engine gunk to test and let it idle for 15 minutes. Dropped the oil and it looked like it hadn't been changed in years, nasty black. I repeated the process with more cheap walmart oil and the engine gunk, dropped the oil and it cam out a little dark, and then gold. I added a Napa gold oil filter and put in my Castrol oil. Done it every other oil change and she smogs like shes right off the lot. i swear by it
