V8 Swap Newest Problem
I think I have this solved already but looking for more info if out there. I pulled the I6 and dropped in a 351 windsor. After much to do about mounts everything fit fine until I tried to install the block hugging headers. I had to trim a little of the connector flange to clear the crossmember but the other side lands on the starter. I trimmed the flange on that side and got 1/4' clearance but it still arched and burned up the starter. So I ordered a mini starter from Summit and think it is about an inch shorter so I should be good. ANyone else have or seen this situation before

Not completely like yours, but a buddy of mine kept burning up starters due to the heat off of his headers, but after wrapping the headers really thick with header wrap he hasn't had any more problems.
