My Alternator is only putting out 11.7 volts at idle and 12.4 at 13000 RPM.
Ford wants $400. +. That's a lot for something that seems not to be up to the task. ( It seems a lot of people have had problems) So does anyone have any recommendations on another outlet. I am thinking of at least 140 or 160 amps. Heavy duty. Thanks
the 7.3 alternator is cheaper than the 6.0.Ive replaced 2 on my truck.Get the 7.3 split bth cases and swap the lug from the old one to the new one.also much easier to grab the belt and pull to the right and off the alternator than wrenching the tensioner.they have cost 100.00 and take all of 5 mins to replace
