I know the term "fair price" is one that both the seller and buyer agree on, but........
If you were selling a solid condition door(s) for a 56 what would you be looking to get? And....anyone who has bought a door or two in the last year or so, what did you pay (if I may ask)?
I am going to need a left for sure and maybe a right, and starting the looking now.
I spent about 175 dollars last summer for a left hand door. "Rust Free" The big thing about doors is the shipping cost after you buy it. Had my shipped by Grayhound and cost between 60 to 75 dollars. At least I think that what it was ,has been a while. Try to find one you can pickup yourself if you can.
If a seller knows the value of the door it will be expensive; on the other hand, I have seen quite a few go for around $50 each. I have a pair of pristine doors sitting out in the storage garage that I would not part with for any amount, I'd rather keep them than have to go looking for some later. If you buy when you aren't in dire need the prices always seem to be lower, and vice versa...
I bought an excellent pair for a 56 three years ago at a swap meet for $150 for the pair. I have seen them as high as $200 ea. I have another pair that have been sand blasted and put in epoxy primer but I think the shipping cost to you might be too much. Send me a pm if you have interest. They are good but not perfect.
