no power under 2000 rpms
hey yall i have a 04 f350 with the 6.0.once in a while she would get real sluggish and smoke ,and i would step on it and it would clear up.well that hasnt happened in a long time.on the way to work this morning it started and now it staying.what it does.when taking off it lugs and blows black smoke turmendasly,and has no power,but when i get it over 2000 it clears up.so driving down the road i have to keep the r's high by shifting down low,and it does fine.its got around 75,000 ,automatic,and its still stock no mods.what do i check? i took of the induct hose for the turbo and looked at the fins they look fine,and i spun it it seems fine.

yeah ,carboned up like you wouldnt believe.intake hole looked pretty nasty.i stand correct the truck has 87,000 miles on it.i posted before i read into the top treads,sorry folks.
