Getting a new engine

saw the thread. i liked page 5 the most. how much did the new engine end up costing you? when this one blows i had intentions of putting a 428 cobra jet, but those are just way too expensive. just the block for those alone is more than i want to spend. so i may just settle for a strong 390. she needs to be powerful enough to be a enjoyable weekend vehicle, yet also get me to work here and there and last 200,000 miles. where is the place that you got it from? do they have good deals if i tell them you sent me?

i got it form Powersource (Rebuilt engines online from PowerSource) for the long block it was about $1,800, but really it is a Motorcraft engine.

Wish I'd known about this, could have steered you toward a No. Cal. chapter member in central Calif. who's got a freshly rebuilt 460 just sitting...saved you a few bucks.
