I know egr question
I recently replaced the DPFE because it did not pass the test. I put the vacum on the EGR and the truck did not stall. So I took it off and cleaned the ports and didn't think they were that bad. I suspect that I will see the code the next time I drive it. Is there anything else to consider looking at if the code comes back. Thanks
Replaced DPFE = no fix
Replaced EGR valve = no fix, vacuum pull would not stall engine
Removed the "plenum" that is the right angle between the throttle body and the intake manifold. Totally clogged, EGR passages at the end where you can't see it. It took about an hour to clean all the "asphalt" out using a wood screw, 9mm pistol brush, and a lot of gumout. That fixed it. I should have done the last step first. It was not that hard, and is a common problem.
This helped me. http://www.fordf150.net/howto/throttlebodyclean.php
Good luck with it.
