i have a lot of friends that are very happy with the k and n series intakes. what do you plan to do with the programmer? i think that they are useless on a gas motor unless you plan to adjust shift points or adjust for larger tires.

I have just the opposite opinion. While the cold air intakes sound good, there is quite a bit of evidence that they don't actually do anything. Your factory intake has a nice cold air set-up so for the money it is probably not the best investment. The programmer, for me, made quite a bit of difference. The truck ran stronger and the gas mileage improved a bit. The biggest difference I have made in a mod is to replce the factory fan with an electric fan. That added noticeable power.
